Trailer

December CD

I am a film nut. As a graduate student in both the History and Library Science fields, I have focused all of my energy on film history and applications. I also used to be both an onair radio DJ and a DJ for hire.

Why all of that introduction? Well this month's CD will explain that away. I have been thinking about what I could do. . .and then it hit me, a mix CD developed as the perfect soundtrack for a film.

Well the CD is almost finished, however with any true film production, there must be a trailer so. . .

Stay tuned to our blog for the December 2006 Otterpop CD Club trailer

November music

Thanks for the wonderful world music. I liked the Turkish stuff. Some of the club/dance selections were not for me, but to be exposed and listen to the artists was great. Thanks for all the work. Looking forward already to December.

No matter which play list you get I hope you like it.
Alex and I have been sharing mix cd's between us. The exposure to someone's music taste that I know in the flesh is great...hearing new bands, seeing what's similar and not between us....I can't wait to hear music from people I've never met. Tunes I may have never heard while riding in someone else's car, tunes that I may have thought nobody else enjoyed.

A friend of mine started a cd club called "Sharing is Caring" and the idea was to send around one cd to different people in different areas of the country. You took this cd, added a few songs, and sent along....it didn't go over quite so well. The participants eventually forgot to send it along after receiving the cd. This (otterpops) is a great idea. A whole cd from each individual and you don't have to rely on the person before you to pass it along.
